Vintage Chessex Opaque Black/Red. Early 1990s Danish Factory Set (Partial set)

This is the real deal for Chessex collectors.

This 4-piece set (D4, D6, D8, D00, D12) is from the early production run of Chessex Opaque dice, manufactured at the original Dan-Tern factory in Denmark — the very factory where Chessex's iconic polyhedral dice were born.

How do you know these are the genuine early-90s vintage? Two telltale signs:

• Bottom-read D4: cast from the original Danish mold, before the factory switched to the now-standard top-read pyramid. This change happened once, in the early 90s, and was never reversed.
• Dot notation on 6 and 9: later Chessex molds switched to an underline. These have the dot. That's your timestamp.

These dice are out of print and won't be coming back. The set is incomplete, which is reflected in the price.

For a collector hunting individual pieces or simply wanting a piece of early Chessex history, this is a solid find.
