Heimdall, the guardian of Bifrost, has amazing sight and hearing and keeps watch day and night. Still an aesir, he is said to have been sent down to the humans in a basket together with tools and knowledge. There, he taught the first humans about fire and handiwork.
Fun facts: he has gold teeth and as many as nine mothers! Some also say he is the son of Rans's nine daughters, the Waves.
